Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked Brings D&D To VR Today
By Jason Fanelli

In 2021, Resolution Games released Demeo, which brought the classic Dungeons & Dragons style of tabletop RPG experience to virtual reality on the Meta Quest, and eventually to PlayStation platforms both in and out of VR. Today, the RPG changes from "D+D-like" to simply "D+D," as Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, in partnership with Wizards of the Coast, launches on PS5, PC, and VR platforms.

Battlemarked lets up to four players join together in one of two campaigns set in the Forgotten Realms, with each player choosing between six classes: Bard, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Persistent character progression will allow players to level up and set ability points as they see fit, and those characters will not reset once the campaign has ended, so players can choose them as much as they like.

The two campaigns launching today with Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked are as follows:

  • Embers of Chaos, in which players "uncover a goblin conspiracy in Neverwinter Wood and descend into the volcanic depths beneath Mount Hotenow."
  • Crown of Frost, which features "a frost giant uprising in Icewind Dale" where players will "trek from Ten Towns to the icy halls of Frost Keep."

Resolution Games has announced that it will continue to support Battlemarked post-launch with both new campaigns and new characters. While nothing has been officially announced, Resolution did say that "additional campaigns are planned as DLC throughout 2026 and beyond, expanding adventures across iconic Forgotten Realms locations."

Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked is available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR 2, PC on Steam, and Meta Quest devices for $30.
