Arma Reforger Tactical Guide: Clean Gameplay & Objective Control

This guide breaks down how to play Arma Reforger with precision; no chaos, no hero runs, just clean squad tactics and objective dominance. Whether you're running ops with TMG or pubbing with randos, these fundamentals will keep you alive and effective.

Core Principles

  • Move with intent; never sprint blindly
  • Cover matters more than speed
  • Communication beats reaction time
  • Suppress, flank, clear; repeat
  • Always check your corners, even in open fields

Taking an Objective: Step-by-Step

1. Recon First
  • Use binos, scopes, or drone assets if available
  • Mark enemy positions, vehicles, and patrol routes
  • Identify entry points and fallback zones

2. Suppress & Distract
  • Lay down suppressive fire to pin defenders
  • Use smoke to block LOS and force repositioning
  • Draw attention away from your flanking element

3. Flank Hard
  • Send 2–3 players wide; use terrain for cover
  • Avoid direct lines of sight
  • Time your push with the suppression team

4. Breach & Clear
  • Use grenades or flashbangs before entry
  • Stack on doors, call out sectors
  • Clear methodically; don’t rush the room

5. Secure & Hold
  • Set up defensive positions immediately
  • Watch for counterattacks or respawns
  • Call in reinforcements or resupply

Loadout Tips

  • Always carry smoke; it's more useful than frags
  • Use suppressed weapons for flanking roles
  • Bring extra bandages and morphine for squad medics
  • AT roles should carry sidearms for close quarters

Squad Roles That Work

  • Squad Lead – calls shots, marks objectives
  • Riflemen – core firepower, flexible
  • Grenadier – smoke, frag, area denial
  • Medic – keeps the push alive
  • AT – handles vehicles and hard targets
  • Marksman – overwatch and recon
